Prishtinë/Priština, 19 Dec 2025 – In the lead-up to the early Assembly elections, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, with funding from France, is organizing workshops across five regions of Kosovo to strengthen outreach to women voters and promote their participation in the electoral process.

Despite gender equality legislation and electoral quotas, women in Kosovo remain underrepresented in political decision-making. The workshops aim to examine why the gap persists, assess the effectiveness of existing legal and institutional mechanisms, and explore the roles of electoral institutions, political parties, media, and civil society in advancing gender equality in politics and public life.

Members of the media are invited to cover the main event in Prishtinë/Priština on Monday, which will be opened by Kreshnik Radoniqi, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, and Zenel Leku, Chairperson of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel, followed by high-level discussion panels with ambassadors, representatives of civil society and the media.

Date: Monday, 22 December 2025
Time: 10:00
Venue: Hotel Sirius, Prishtinë/Priština
