The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is organizing a seven-day study trip to Northern Ireland for Kosovo Police (KP) senior officers. The aim of the visit is to identify best practices and principles of community policing that the Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI) applies in their daily work and to possibly incorporate them in the KP community policing model. Participants will also see how the neighbourhood watch initiatives work in Northern Ireland in order to try and operationalize similar KP projects under development in two neighbourhoods of Prishtinë/Priština. They will also see how the PSNI handles requests for assistance through their Call Handling System and how all calls are prioritized.
