About
In the Podujevë/Podujevo town and region, freelance journalists and local correspondents of Kosovo's print and electronic media had limited space and means to produce and process their articles.
Therefore, the OSCE helped establish a Press Club in Podujevë/Podujevo for local journalists by providing an initial investment for second-hand furniture and computers, including Internet access. It also covers 6 months' rent of an office and 12 months' salary of a secretary. The implementing partner is the multi-ethnic "Association of Journalists of Llap" (SHGLL), an NGONGO
non-governmental organization registered by the Kosovo PISG Ministry of Public Services.
After the initial investments, the Press Club will be funded by membership fees from the association as well as their marketing and training activities. It will be accessible for all journalists working in the area, not only members of the association, disregarding their ethnicity or their professional or political affiliation. The OSCE's financial contribution to the project is 7,530 EUR.
