Local Kosovo Roma artists empower their community through art

To mark International Roma Day and raise awareness of Romani culture and art, the OSCE Mission supported two Kosovo Roma painters to exhibit their work and offer a basic painting class to children in Gračanica/Graçanicë. The paintings of siblings Bajram and Farija Mehmeti capture scenes from everyday life and are inspired by the lives and traditions of the Roma community. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the vibrant culture of Kosovo Roma, and aims to fight prejudice and promote tolerance.
