Bringing back these awards was of particular importance for the AJK as we can again appreciate the very important work that out colleagues do in keeping us informed in another particularly difficult year. Association of Journalists of Kosovo, with OSCE Mission support, gives 2021 Annual Journalism Awards

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo supported the Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) to select and reward 2021’s best journalists and media professionals through the Annual Journalism Awards. Through these awards, which are returning after a 5 year gap, the AJK and the OSCE Mission are seeking to improve professional journalism and honour journalists who published outstanding stories during 2021, either independently or as media employees. A professional jury evaluated the applications open to journalists from all communities in Kosovo and the Head of the OSCE Mission, Ambassador Michael Davenport, presented the Journalist of the Year Award to Kastriot Berisha in a ceremony held on 23 December 2021.
