Overview
The Mission advises institutions on how to improve and implement anti-discrimination legislation and policies that promote inter-community relations. It also monitors hate crimes cases and assists the authorities in enhancing the management of hate crimes, for example by empowering the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, the Ombudsperson, legal professionals and civil society in following up on such cases, in compliance with human rights standards.
In addition, the Mission closely co-operates with the Kosovo Academy of Justice and Kosovo Bar Association to ensure continuous legal education for judges and lawyers on litigating and adjudicating discrimination cases.
