Overview
The Mission's work in this field includes cyber and financial crimes, corruption, human and drugs trafficking, terrorism, confiscation of criminal assets, forensic examination, police oversight, hate crime, domestic violence, community policing and communication. The Mission also works closely with public safety institutions in drafting, implementing and reviewing their legislation, strategies and action plans in many security-related areas, including on the enhancement of cyber security and communication and the fight against organized crime, terrorism, narcotics smuggling and human trafficking.

OSCE Mission delivers advanced criminal analysis training for Kosovo Police
As part of its efforts to strengthen the analytical and operational capacity of the Kosovo Police, from 23 to 25 September, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo delivered an advanced training on criminal analysis to 20 analysts from the Department of Intelligence and Analysis and other analytical units within the Kosovo Police.

OSCE Mission in Kosovo trains journalists and police officers on crisis reporting
From 24 to 30 April 2024 the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, at the request of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, organized a five-day training course on crisis reporting for journalists, media workers and Kosovo Police. Trainer Sylejman Kllokoqi shared with participants his decades-long experience in crisis reporting, including how to protect themselves in challenging situations, and offered valuable regional context.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo delivered a five-day training to 14 officials of the Kosovo Agency on Forensics (KAF) and Kosovo Police (KP) crime scene investigators on the latest forensic techniques and methods used in the examination of crime scene fingerprints.
