Prishtinë / Priština, 26 September 2025As part of its efforts to strengthen the analytical and operational capacity of the Kosovo Police, from 23 to 25 September, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo delivered an advanced training on criminal analysis to 20 analysts from the Department of Intelligence and Analysis and other analytical units within the Kosovo Police. The course aimed to enhance their ability to identify, assess, and respond to complex criminal activity by applying the advanced techniques in criminal behaviour analysis.

Prishtinë / Priština, 12 September 2025  As part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and emergency preparedness, the OSCE Mission donated 11 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to the Kosovo Police to support life-saving interventions in critical situations.AEDs are essential medical devices that can significantly increase survival rates during sudden cardiac arrest, a condition where every second is crucial. Police officers, often the first on the scene of emergencies, will now have immediate access to this vital equipment.

As part of an ongoing campaign to promote careers in law enforcement, from 26 June to 2 July 2025, the OSCE Mission supported the Kosovo Police in organizing a series of outreach meetings across five regions in Kosovo.

From 24 to 30 April 2024 the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, at the request of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, organized a five-day training course on crisis reporting for journalists, media workers and Kosovo Police. Trainer Sylejman Kllokoqi shared with participants his decades-long experience in crisis reporting, including how to protect themselves in challenging situations, and offered valuable regional context.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo delivered a five-day training to 14 officials of the Kosovo Agency on Forensics (KAF) and Kosovo Police (KP) crime scene investigators on the latest forensic techniques and methods used in the examination of crime scene fingerprints.
